Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation prohibits law enforcement officers from enforcing any federal laws or regulations regarding the purchase, use or possession of a firearm.  Anyone over 18 years of age may file a lawsuit or seek injunctive relief to enforce this law.  If the legal action is successful, then the county may be required to pay reasonable attorney's fees.
